Things We Found Hand-Embroidered Cami
Inspired by vintage folk art, traditional needlework, and the imaginative illustrations found in old storybooks.
The Things We Found Cami features an imaginary tree with winding branches, soft green leaves, and little fruits scattered throughout. Beneath the tree, tiny sheep are embroidered using the traditional French knot technique, creating a fluffy, wool-like texture that stands slightly raised from the fabric. The contrast between the fine embroidered lines and the soft, textured knots brings an interesting dimension to the design.
Each element is carefully embroidered, stitch by stitch, by our artisans in Northern Thailand, drawing references from vintage embroidery samplers, countryside illustrations, and decorative textiles. The mix of stitching techniques gives the artwork a slightly irregular finish, keeping the details personal and true to the nature of hand embroidery.
Cut from a soft baby-blue linen-cotton blend, the cami features delicate tie straps and a relaxed silhouette. Colorful cross-stitch borders frame the neckline and hem, adding a subtle vintage reference while bringing contrast to the baby-blue fabric.
A contemporary take on traditional needlework, combining nostalgic motifs, playful proportions, and intricate hand-embroidered details in an easy, everyday silhouette.
