At the heart of the design are two embroidered tomato soup cans, reminiscent of vintage grocery labels and pop art. Each can is stitched entirely by hand, paired with French phrases:
“Aimer la vie” – to love life, and
“Aimer la tomate” – to love tomato,
playful reminders to find joy in the everyday.
The front pockets feature tiny hand-drawn style motifs: a tall, narrow house and a trio of hanging kitchen tools, evoking a scene from a cozy countryside home. Framing the vest are delicate red scalloped stitches running along the edges and button placket, adding a whimsical, handmade touch that stands out in a world of mass production.
